Waia: AI Wealth Assistant • Effective: March 28, 2026

Welcome to Waia. By downloading, accessing, or using the Waia application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Overview

Waia is a personal finance tracking application that allows users to monitor their net worth, manage income and expenses, track investments, set financial goals, interact with an AI financial coach, and participate in a social community.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account Registration

• You must create an account with a valid email address and password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Post offensive, abusive, or harmful content in social features
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the App
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the App's security

5. Financial Information Disclaimer

• The AI Coach provides general information and insights based on your data. Its responses are generated by artificial intelligence and should not be treated as professional financial advice.
• Market data (stock prices, cryptocurrency prices) is provided by third-party sources (Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko) and may be delayed or inaccurate. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of market data.
• You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

6. User Content

• You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (posts, comments, financial data).
• By posting content in social features, you grant Waia a non-exclusive license to display that content to other users within the App.
• You are solely responsible for the content you post. Do not share sensitive financial information (bank account numbers, credit card details, passwords) in social posts.
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Waia offers a premium subscription ("Waia Pro") with the following terms:

• Plans: Monthly and Annual subscription options are available. Current pricing is displayed on the in-app paywall before purchase.
• Free Trial: Certain plans include a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
• Billing: All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. You will be charged through your Apple ID account.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice.
• Free Features: Certain features of the App remain available without a subscription. Premium features (including AI Coach, unlimited tracking, and advanced analytics) require an active Waia Pro subscription.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase (data storage), Google Gemini AI (AI Coach), Yahoo Finance (market data), and CoinGecko (cryptocurrency data). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

10. Availability and Updates

• We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
• We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
• We may release updates that you will need to install to continue using the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any financial losses resulting from decisions made based on information provided by the App or the AI Coach.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from within the App. This will permanently remove all your data.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
